What is the difference between health screening and occupational health?

Health Screening involves the routine screening of employees. Obviously the tests involved will depend on the workplace risk assessment.

Occupational Health Assessments can result as an identified health issue affecting the individuals ability to fulfil their usual role. The health issue may be identified by the individual, their HR or line manager or following health screening.

If required OHI can visit the workplace prior to health screening to discuss the screening required for each role.

• Vision – near vision, far vision, VDU assessment, peripheral vision, colour blindness testing, depth and visual fields.
